  • Doughnuts trace their history back to Dutch cakes, which had nuts embedded in their centres. Dutch-American settlers combined 'dough' and 'nut' and the rest is history (hence the correct spelling!).
  • Made fresh daily, each batch of fresh doughnuts is issued with a Birth Certificate when delivered to our stores, so that the quality and freshness can be managed in store.
  • It would take 2,833 Original Glazed doughnuts piled flat on top of each other to reach as high as the MCG light towers, 15,250 single stacked doughnuts to reach to the top of Sydney's AMP Centrepoint Tower, or 11, 911 doughnuts laid out flat end to end to cover the distance of Brisbane's Storey Bridge!
  • Krispy Kreme doughnuts are formed from dough extruded by air pressure to form a perfect doughnut shape. Therefore, infamous doughnut "hole" actually doesn't exist at Krispy Kreme.
  • In fact, it takes our team of Doughnut Chefs more than five hours to hand make and cook a batch of doughnuts!
  • Since our fundraising program started in Australia in July 2003, Krispy Kreme has helped non-for-profit groups to raise over $10 million to support local activity.
  • It takes 15 premium coffee beans to fire up just a single shot of Krispy Kreme espresso!
